What is the XMax Starry v3?
The X-MAX Starry v3 is one of the latest portable vaporizers by X-VAPE, the creators of the community favorite X-MAX V2 Pro. X-VAPE is known for their reliable and affordable vaporizers, and this dry herb vape is no exception.
The Starry v3 has a “star-studded” list of features, including a heat up time of less than 30 seconds, a removable 18650 battery, and a strong anodized aluminum body. It’s the perfect pocket sized vape for an adventure.
How to Use the Starry V3
Using your new Starry vaporizer is quick and easy, and we’re here to help you through it. Our handy user guide covers all the details you need to get the best hits from your device.
When you first receive your Starry V3, you should give it a full charge via the included Micro USB cable, as well as quick cleaning. Vaporizers can come with manufacturing residues from the factory, so we always recommend cleaning your vape before its first use. For detailed cleaning instructions, check out our “How to Clean” section below.
Once your device is cleaned up and charged, it’s time to remove the magnetic mouthpiece and pack the chamber. The Starry works best with finely ground herb - try turning your grinder upside down when grinding to get a finer texture. Packing a full chamber will help produce the best clouds. Now, pack the chamber down with the included tamp tool - firm, but not too tight to preserve the airflow.
Once the device is fully packed, reattach the mouthpiece and turn the unit on by holding the top button for a few seconds. The lower two buttons adjust the temperature up and down. If you press and hold the Power and Up buttons, you can access the user menu, where you can change the sleep mode timer. The timer can be adjusted between 5-10 minutes, after which the device will automatically power off.
Once your Starry V3 is heated to your desired temperature, the device will vibrate. We recommend starting around 360F, increasing the temperature by ten degrees every few puffs. Long, slow, deep inhales work best with this unit. Try to sip on the device like you’re drinking a thick milkshake or a hot coffee. The slow and steady inhales will get you thick and satisfying vapor every time.
Once your session is over, remove the mouthpiece. Empty the now vaporized herbs from the chamber and brush the chamber out with the included cleaning brush. Now your device is ready to be stored in a safe and secure location, waiting for your next session.
Cleaning the XMax Starry V3
It’s important to regularly clean your vaporizers. If they get too dirty, it can impact flavor and performance. Luckily, cleaning the Starry is a breeze and only takes a few minutes.
First, remove the magnetic mouthpiece from the Starry device. The mouthpiece can be cleaned with warm water and a cloth, along with a small drop of dish soap if necessary. Thoroughly rinse. Do not apply alcohol to the mouthpiece, as it can make the housing brittle.
Before cleaning the oven, brush out any loose dry material left inside the unit. Once the oven is free of debris, power the Starry on and allow it to warm up. Lightly dampen a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol, then gently but firmly begin to scrub the residue away. Hold the device sideways to prevent any alcohol from dripping into the heater. The oven should soon be sparkling clean.
After the cleaning process, we recommend running a “burn off cycle” on the device. With the mouthpiece off and the oven empty, power the device on and turn it up to the maximum temperature. Set the device down and let it run until it shuts off. Your Starry is now cleaned up and ready to rip.
